Arrowhead Building Contractors (ABC) ventured over to Hawaii in February 2004, opening an office in Honolulu, HI. One may wonder “Why Hawaii?” Of course the beautiful scenery is a definite selling point, however, for Arrowhead it was more about growing and diversifying the company. By researching the market in Hawaii as well as receiving encouragement from outside sources, Arrowhead made the immense transition. With significant confidence that the company’s quality of work would succeed in combination with the phenomenal amount of business available in Hawaii, Arrowhead felt that taking this risk was a worthy one.

From the beginning of the transition to now ABC has continuously strived to create a name for itself in Hawaii. Arrowhead only plans to continue to grow and become even more successful through its timely endeavors. For ABC, taking risk can either lead you to future success or lead you to future failure. 1400 Pensacola

This is a mold remediation project in a condominium in Honolulu .  The mold is a result of a water leak in the wall between the bathroom and the laundry area.  The pictures show the mold on the wall beside the washing machine and in the carpet pad in the room adjacent to the laundry area.  Arrowhead removed the carpet and the damaged sheetrock in the laundry and bathroom.  Arrowhead then remediated the mold in the walls and on the floor.

This is a small condominium in Honolulu in which Arrowhead removed/remediated the acoustic ceiling which is an ACM.

Pearl Harbor Project

This is a lead paint remediation project and demolition.  This work was performed for West Coast Construction on Pearl Harbor Naval Station.  The bathrooms in this building were to be remodeled but Arrowhead first had to remediate the lead based paint and demo the existing work so the new work could be installed.

Hibiscus Place

This is a residential demolition project in Honolulu .  Arrowhead removed the roof structure over the original Lanai .  After the roof was removed Arrowhead removed the slab and tile floor to prepare for the building of a two story room addition.  This work is complete and Arrowhead is waiting to hear if they will be awarded the room addition project.

Watershed Restoration

This is a project that will restore watershed that was altered by the military in the 1940's.  This is the first in an anticipated series of projects aimed at restoring native avian species habitat and nesting grounds.  Some of these species are protected and nearing endangered status.  Native Hawaiian plants are custom grown in a nursery for re-introduction of these plants into the watershed.  This work will remove fill imported at the time the base was built in order to restore the channel to its original configuration.  Anticipated completion is early 2007.
